Peer and Group Support

Safe shared spaces

Televeda’s Talking Circles and group programs offer welcoming, facilitated spaces where participants can share, listen, and feel connected — building trust, belonging and mutual support without pressure.

Peer-led support

Through peer-led groups and 1:1 support, Televeda connects individuals with others who share lived experience — reducing isolation and strengthening social connection respectfully.

Story-based healing

The Hero’s Story Project uses guided storytelling to help participants reflect, reconnect with purpose, and be seen and heard in ways that honor personal and cultural identity.

Trauma-informed care

All peer and group support programs are trauma-informed and culturally aware through a managed model providing consistent, high-quality support while preserving dignity and safety.

Talking circles

Fostering trust and connection

Televeda’s Talking Circles are facilitated group conversations that create safe, welcoming spaces for people to share experiences, listen to one another, and feel less alone. Guided by trained facilitators, each circle is rooted in respect, choice, and cultural awareness, allowing participants to engage at their own pace while building meaningful peer connection and community.

1:1 Peer support

Support grounded in understanding

Televeda’s 1:1 peer support connects individuals with trained peers who share lived experience and offer compassionate, non-clinical support. These private conversations create space for listening, encouragement, and connection, helping participants feel understood, supported, and less alone — on their own terms and at their own pace.

Hero’s story

Storytelling that honors experience

The Hero’s Story Project is a guided storytelling experience that helps individuals reflect on their lives, share their experiences, and reconnect with a sense of purpose. Through facilitated conversations and narrative reflection, participants are supported in being seen and heard in a trauma-informed space that respects dignity, culture, and personal choice.

This is the first time the Navajo Nation VA is offering talking circles to the veterans. It is historic as it is much needed. Early feedback from the veterans and Navajo Spring Council have been highly motivating. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Televeda and serving our veterans.
