Shruti Gurudanti is a Panelist on StartUp Health

November 29, 2023

This week Televeda's co-founder Shruti Gurudanti was invited to participate in StartupHealth's Panel “Building a Patient Centric Health Company”.

Video description:

"When building a health company, it's obvious that patients are the end-user, but the incentives are often to focus on the tech or look towards an exit. So, how does a healthtech entrepreneur make sure the patient remains at the center of everything they do?  As part of StartUp Health @ HLTH 2023, we hosted a variety of insightful and inspirational panels featuring Health Transformers from our community looking to answer important questions.

Featuring:

•Shruti Gurudanti, CEO & Co-founder, Televëda

•Raj Amin, CEO & Co-founder, Arcade Therapeutics

•L.R. Fox, CEO & Founder, NEXT Life Sciences

•Jeff Glueck, CEO & Co-founder, Salvo

•Yusuf Sherwani, MD, CEO & Co-founder, Pelago

Moderated by Jamey Edwards, Chief Platform Officer, StartUp Health

In the video, Shruti describes Televeda's work and mission. (Summarized) "Our mission is to help alleviate social isolation and loneliness amongst underserved populations. We have two ways of achieving this...we work on helping alleviate suicidal deaths amongst Native American veterans by providing them access to a culturally relevant, evidence based behavioral health intervention. Which is a combination of evidence based western medicine and Talking Circles or story telling interventions which are culturally specific to our Native American veterans.

The other side is we work with Medicaid and Medicare by helping alleviate loneliness amongst rural and older adult populations by teaching them digital literacy and giving them access to tools, devices, broadband. We then connect them to micro-communities of people based on shared interests."
